Model Summary:

There are several models available to meet your budget, signal amplification, and distribution requirements.

EDA 2100; 1 port amplifier; + 15dB gain BUY NOW

The single port model provides the simplest connection requirement. Put this in at the ‘drop' and simply connect to your existing wiring set-up. This unit will ensure a much stronger signal to overcome the deterioration caused by the splitters etc. in your existing wiring set-up.

EDA 2400; 4 port amplifier; + 7dB gain per port BUY NOW

This unit is a popular solution if you have 4 or less devices to connect. It is intended to replace the existing splitters in your home. The connection is slightly more challenging, and you'll need to ensure that all the ‘cable runs' originate at the drop.

EDA 2500MMA; 4 port amplifier; +1.5dB gain per port; 0 dB ‘Active Return'

ACTIVE RETURN - ensures a strong signal is returned to the cable network supporting interactive services (Pay per View, On-Demand etc.)

DATA PORT - separate port for Data/VoIP modems - simplifies your installation and ensure data signal do not interfere with TV signals

"WHOLE HOME DVR" - a special internal splitter enables DVR signals to be passed in the 1125-1525MHz band, without interfering with incoming TV signals.

This powerful combination of features makes this the "State of the Art" in-home CableTv Signal Amplification solution.

For installation with 1-4 TV's

EDA 2800; 8 port amplifier; +4dB gain per port
BUY NOW

With more ports, you can connect up to 8 separate devices, and is intended to replace the existing splitter(s) in your home. As per the 4 port - the connection is again slightly more challenging - and it's best to ensure that all the ‘cable runs' originate at the drop.

I Have Digital Cable

You can select any of the models - it really depends on how many TVs you currently have, or plan to have.

However, the 2500MMA & 2900MMA models have the 0dB ‘Active return' feature which will ensure the signal going back to the cable company is the same strength as the one the set-top box generates. This will ensure smooth operation of your Digital TV services.

The best choice is the 2900MMA model - this is the best all-in-one approach to both signal amplification and interactive services.

However, to obtain the purest signal amplification, use the following chart:

We recommend that the Internet connection be wired independent of the DROPAmp unit.

Things to consider:

Are you comfortable connecting multiple cable leads?

If yes, choose any unit;
If no, you may want to look at the 1-port unit: this is the simplest device to connect

How many cable runs do you have?

Even if you have 2 or 3 TVs today, your home may in fact be wired to accommodate many more.
If you think your needs will go beyond 4 outlets, you should look at the 8 port models.

How many devices are connected today? Do they all originate at the ‘drop'?

You are encouraged to examine your existing configuration - see how many and where all the wires go!
Connecting a DROPAmp is a great opportunity to clean-up your cable configuration.

Do you have Internet or VoIP?

The  2500MMA & 2900MMA models are specifically designed with a special passive port for connecting the data and/or VoIP modem(s)
