Remote Power Inserter


This handy device is used to power the amplifier when there is no wall outlet in the vicinity of the installation area.
The inserter 'combines' the power current & the cable signal, so the power is fed to the amplifier via the coax.
This is particularly useful for exterior installations, as well as hard to reach places such as attics & crawl spaces.
Go to the closest cable outlet in the home (there does not have to be any TV hooked up at that location) and connect the device (operational range is approximately 35 feet / 10 meters).
The power supply connects to the 'PWR IN' port (bottom left); the 'RF-PWR TO AMP' port (bottom right) connects to the cable outlet; and the TV/Cable box is connected to the 'RF TV 5-1000 MHz' port (upper right). At the amplifier end, connect the coax to the port labeled 'OUT + PWR'.
When using the inserter, the 'PWR' port on the amplifier is not used, and must remain unconnected. If the inserter is not hooked up to a TV/Cable box, then the 'RF TV 5-1000 MHz' port should be terminated with an F-terminator.
